The house passed FHA inspection!

We got a phone call on Tuesday that the seller’s fixed the FHA repairs. It only took three months to the day. I would say that’s probably about 10 weeks longer than a typical house sale. It had been so long, that I didn’t think that it was going to happen at all. And it almost didn’t. Evan and his father went down to inspect the repair work before the FHA inspector, and ended up making a run to Home Depot in order to finish up work on the front steps. I’ve included some before and after pictures so you can see.

Here’s what was wrong with the house after the first FHA inspection…

  • Front step stones Loose
  • Front step needs hand rail
  • Chipped wall paint
  • Fence door broken
  • Garage door does not open
  • Exposed insulation in garage
  • Attic debris
